A glance at the historical development of human life offers periods
which compel us to accept the principle that the repetition of every
phenomenon and referent that we are after occurs in specific temporal
intervals.
The emergence of thoughts that shape the fundamental changes in
different societies-from ideological, cultural, social, political and even
scientific as well as technological to the physical transformations of
the geographical features of the earth- all, so to speak, follow a specific
law which leads to such spatial and temporal divisions. Meanwhile, the
more sophisticated features of the person or phenomenon, the longer
period in which such repetitions occur. The rise of great and fateful
men, who turn out to be paragons of generations and who influence
men’s minds and hearts, is no exception, either.
The honorable martyr, Dr. Mustafa Chamran, whose existential
dimensions commands everybody’s respect, is one of the examples
who feature most prominently but also equally infrequently.
This great personage of the Shiite history possessed so imposing a
character- though astoundingly tender and benign too- that immediately
impressed whomever he met.
He was a passionate lover of God, and while doing scientific and
specialized courses and even while training as guerilla and going
through painstaking military labours, he believed it to be his divine
vocation to be at the service of Islam and oppressed, and to fight
oppression.
He continued his devotion so persistently that the glorious history of
Islam will be credited with his name as long as freedom, honour, and
dignity mean anything to man.
Dr. Mustafa Chamran considered hejira, resistance, jihad and
martyrdom a green course which lead to the glorious joining of the
loving man with God. Believing in the veracity of the divine promise,
he traversed the course so passionately that, since his death, the large
number of his followers in Islamic countries have been chanting the
life-giving song of freedom of the deprived and the oppressed of the
world and their lands from the seizure of the hangmen of oppression
and dominance.
They will continue this ever louder and more reverberating till the total
extermination of deprivation and oppression.
