Islamic Confab Condemns Blasphemous Measures

Navideshahed: The participants in the Conference on Proximity of Islamic Denominations, held in London, have strongly condemned insolent measures against sacred Islamic values.

According to IRIB World Service, citing IRNA from London, the 6th International Conference on Proximity of Islamic Denominations, which was convened in London, wrapped up its meetings with a closing statement on Saturday night.

This one-day conference was hosted by the Islamic Center of England in the presence of prominent Muslim figures and thinkers from a wide range of countries, namely Egypt, England, Lebanon, Algeria, Iraq, Morocco, France, Pakistan, India, Yemen, Australia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.

The participants in this confab lashed out at sacrilegious and blasphemous measures, and presented their viewpoints within the framework of a 14-article statement.

This statement partly reads that participants in this confab urge all the related organizations, especially The Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), and The Arab League (AL) to make every effort for punishment of the blasphemers, who have insulted the Holy Prophet of Islam, Mohammad (SAWA), while also calling on international bodies to set laws which criminalize such insolent, sacrilegious acts and punish the blasphemers.
