EC Secretary:
Navideshahed: Expediency Council Secretary Mohsen Rezayee condemned the recent desecration of Islam's Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and stressed that the move will initiate a third wave of Islamic awakening movements in the Muslim world.

In a statement on Saturday, Rezayee described the movie as a "lose-lose game" initiated by its producers in a bid to confront the waves of Islam-seeking and Islamism among the oppressed nations.

He pointed to Muslims' strong reaction to the movie, and said that the film will certain cause the start of a third tide of Islamic Awakening throughout the Muslim lands.

The Muslim world is outraged at the US for allowing the production of the blasphemous movie, which insults Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and depicts Islam as an oppressive religion.

The anti-Islam film has drawn condemnation from Muslim countries including Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Pakistan, Libya, Somalia and Sudan, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, etc.

In Iran, millions of Iranians in Tehran and other cities across the country held nationwide rallies in protest against the recent desecration of Islam.

The Iranian protesters chanted "Death to the US" and "Death to Israel" slogans, expressing disgust at the US and the Zionist regime's anti-Islam policies.
