Over 100 Iranian cineastes and artists signed a statement against the American anti-Islam movie which insulted Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
"Unfortunately, in recent years, racist thoughts - which dominated the western world - targeted the divine face of Islam's great prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as they couldn't meet their dirty goals in the Muslim world," said the statement.
Iranian cineastes condemn these kinds of activities and ask their counterparts in other countries, Americans, to avoid racial political visions when making a movie.
The anti-Islam film has drawn condemnation from numerous countries including Afghanistan, Egypt, Libya, Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Iran, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc.
In Iran, millions of Iranians in Tehran and other cities across the country held nationwide rallies in protest against the recent desecration of Islam.
The Iranian protesters chanted "Death to the US" and "Death to Israel" slogans, expressing disgust at the US and the Zionist regime's anti-Islam policies.
The film called "Innocence of Muslims", previously called Desert Warriors and Innocence of Bin Laden, is a 2012 anti-Muslim movie which insults Muslims' Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). The film has been financed by more than 100 Jews and produced by an American-Israeli man in the US.
The film was being promoted by a Florida pastor, Terry Jones, known for previous Quran-burning stunts that angered Muslims in various countries.
