Hajj Conference Held in Kashmir

Navideshahed: A daylong Hajj conference and training camp was organized by All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Personal Law Board (JKMPLB) on Sunday in the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir.

Prominent Islamic scholars and intellectuals spoke about the significance of Hajj and imparted necessary training to the selected pilgrims who are going to perform Hajj this year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Azam (Grand Mufti) Jammu and Kashmir, Mufti Bashir-ud-Din Ahmed, who presided over the conference, highlighted the historical and religious significance of the annual pilgrimage.

Mirwaiz central Kashmir, Moulvi Syed Abdul Lateef Bukhari, representative of world forum for proximity of Islamic schools of thought, Hajj Abdulhussain Kashmiri, vice president JKMPLB, Moulvi Syed Sharaf-ul Haq Bukhari, General Secretary of JKMPLB, Qazi Mohammad Ameen (IAS), Kashmir’s renowned author and intellectual, Khwaja Farooq Ahmed Renzu Shah, member of JKMPLB and head of J&K Peace Foundation, Fayaz Ahmed Bhat, also spoke on the occasion, and underlined the opportunity Hajj provides to the world Muslims to forget their minor differences and get united in the name of Allah.
