Tehran NAM Summit, a Revolution in the Int'l Arena

Navideshahed: A member of Iran's Parliament presiding board considered Iran's successfully holding of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit in Tehran as a diplomatic revolution at the international scenes.

Hussein Sobhani-nia said the Islamic Republic has foiled the West attempts to raise Iranophobia through active media diplomacy.

Referring to the plots hatched by the Western countries and the world Zionism to isolate Iran at the international scenes and their pressures to prevent the NAM member states' attendance in the Tehran Summit of Leaders, the Iranian MP said massive presence of the member states was in fact indicative of the enemies' failure and defeat.

Sobani-nia, who is also a member of the parliament's national security and foreign policy commission, pointed out that Iran's NAM presidency is an opportunity to follow the country's independent policies within the movement's framework.
