According to Shabestan News Agency, eight Yemeni civilians and two members of Al-Qaeda terrorist group and also two soldiers and two complementary forces for the Security Forces were killed on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in an air strike taken place by the Army of this country.
According to the announcement of governmental sources and the local witnesses, the air strike which took place in Ja’aar caused that several civilians to be killed mistakenly.
According to AFP, after the first air strike against the headquarters of Al-Qaeda, the civilians gathered in this place to estimate the level of causalities.
Therefore the second air strike caused eight civilians to be simultaneously killed and four others to be injured in the attack.
During this attack which took place between the governmental forces of Yemen and Al-Qaeda, two soldiers were injured and 13 complementary forces belonging to the Defense Committee for People were injured.
This operation has been continued in Zinjibar city, while this place had been controlled by Al-Qaeda forces since one year ago.
According to sources, on Sunday 12 Yemeni soldiers were killed in the conflicts and the Yemeni Ministry of the Interior has mentioned only the names of six of them.
