Gholam Ali Daryanavard was born in 1961 in Turkaman port. His mother was Seyed and he was grown up by the kindness of his mother.

His sister says: “He was a lovely and nice child and he had an innocent face. My parents loved him so much since the time that he was a little child and they would attempt to provide all the things that he needed in order not to make him feel the lack of something. Gholam Ali after accomplishing his military service, he joined the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and he voluntarily got involved in the fighting against the anti-revolutionary militants in Kurdistan. He fought against the anti-revolutionary militants in Bukan Corps. A few times passed from the presence time of Gholam Ali in Kurdistan battle and then he was appointed as the commander of Nabi Akram (May God send greetings to him).

Gholam Ali would come home so rarely. He would try to visit us every several months or he would telephone us and talk with us on the phone and he would announced his health news to us. He was always successful in his affairs. When he came to visit us for the last time, he visited all the friends, relatives and those who were familiar with us and he asked me and his sister to be the pilgrims of Imam Reza (AS) shrine. Wherever he would go, he would say to all the persons, I will come to you with a chocolate for the next time (I will be killed). He was not afraid of martyrdom at all and this issue was a pride for him.

For the last time he went to the war for the last time, after a few times they informed us that he has been killed in one of the conflicts against anti-revolutionary militants.

His friends would say that he had cleaned himself before martyrdom and he had worn new clothes and he had gotten prepared for martyrdom.

He knew that he would be killed in the military operation. In fact this event occurred for him too…

Gholam Ali Daryanavard was finally killed in action in 1984 after many years fighting in the way of Islam.
