German Police Clash with Muslim Protesters

Navideshahed: German police have clashed with Muslim demonstrators trying to counter an anti-Islam rally called by a far-right group in the city of Bonn.

The clashes broke out on Saturday after police moved to disperse several hundred Muslims rallying against the supporters of the far-right populist Pro Germany Citizens' Movement (Pro-NRW), AP reported.

The protesters were outraged after the far-right extremists displayed anti-Islam caricatures.

A number of police officers were injured in scuffles with protesters.
