According to Maan News, Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, lashed out at the desecrating attempt in a statement issued yesterday, April 30, calling the heinous act in opposition to the teachings of all divine religions and the ethical values.
“Such sacrilegious attempts will foment discord and rebellion among the followers of Islam and Christianity,”? he added, calling for the prevention of recurrence of such follies in the future.
He further warned the international community of remaining silent about such affronts against Islam and Muslims, urging all believers and peacemakers in the world to spend no effort to stop similar attempts.
Terry Jones burned copies of the Holy Quran on April 28 and his handful supporters uploaded the video of his crime on youtube.
