International Conference on Martyr Motahari Opens in Tehran
Navideshahed: The 8th International Conference, commemorating the memory of the major philosopher of the World of Islam, Allameh Morteza Motahari, opened in Tehran on Tuesday.
According to IRIB World Service, in this conference, the global scientific and cultural figures state their viewpoints about the characteristics and works of Martyr Motahari.
During his years of study in the holy city of Qom, Martyr Motahari learned scientific topics and participated in political activities against Shah’s despotic regime. He had an in-depth understanding of Islam and was well aware his own time's social, political, and cultural problems.
Allameh Morteza Motahari was martyred by one of the operatives of Forqaan terrorist outfit in the year 1979.
To mark the services rendered by Allameh Motahari; first of May, the anniversary of his martyrdom, has been named as “Teacher’s Day”?.
