Italian Old Palace Turns to Mosque

Navideshahed: For the first time, the city council of Sardinia Island agreed with construction of a mosque in this city and therefore an old palace was changed into a mosque.

According to Shabestan News Agency, after different visits of Islamic minorities with the leftist party of Sardinia Island located in south Italy, the city council of Cagliari promised that it will renovate the old palace of the city and the worshippers can hold their public prayers in this palace during autumns and winters.

The city council of Cagliari agreed that they open the doors of a small place for the worshippers to hold their public prayers during autumns and winters.

Sabstinano Dissy, one of the city council advisors considered this action as a historical event and he said: “For the first time in the history of Sardinia, this city has accepted to devote a place for the Muslim worshipers. Also the new mosque which named ‘Yunes Omaru’ was inaugurated in Horsins city of Denmark by presence of Mohammad Gormiz, the head of religious affairs of Turkey.
