Navideshahed: Women and children staged a “Down with Terrorism”? rally to express their solidarity with the sit-in of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen being staged outside Parliament House against Shiites massacre in Pakistan.

The kafan posh rally was taken out from Markazi Imam Bargah Isna Ashri Islamabad. The participants were carrying banners, placards and huge black flags to lodge protest against Chilas Tragedy and target killings of Shia Muslims in Karachi, Quetta and Gilgit-Baltistan in particular.

The rally was staged under the aegis of Women wing of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and ISO’s girls wing. Anjuman Janisaran-e-Ahl-e-Bait and many other anjumans had backed the call and participated in the rally.

The participants were raising slogans against the government for its inability to end massacre of Shia Muslims. They said that Shia Muslims legitimate rights were denied to them. Instead, inalienable rights were usurped and government and its agencies were playing the role of silent spectator.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, MWM’s Chief also spoke at the rally. He lashed out at the Parliamentarians for not raising their voices in support of Shia Muslims.

Speaking at the rally, Umm-e-Rabab Zaidi, Hakima Khatoon, Zakia Najafi, Gul Zahra, Qurrat ul Ain Haider, Rukhsana Gohar, Shazia Asghar and Aaliya Zainab, demanded dismissal of federal interior minister for his hypocrisy and double speak.
They said the minister did not keep even a single promise of the countless promises he made to the MWM leaders and other Shia religious scholars.
