The Spirit of Jihad is the Iranian Nation's Key to Victories

Grand Ayatollah Hussein Noori Hamedani, top Shia cleric and professor at Qom Seminary met with a group of Iran's Revolutionary Guardian Corps (IRGC) referred to verses from holy Qur'an and stressed strengthening of military capabilities against the enemies as one of the most important necessities in Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He counted true belief, virtue, insight and knowing God as the most necessary features for military members and warriors.

The ayatollah said the secret for glory and determination of Iranian nation and system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the true belief of the people and said Iranian nation, in light of its piety, has made many achievements.

He hailed bravery and a spirit of jihad among Iranian nation and said, "Today the enemies of Islam are fully aware of this spirit and that Islamic Awakening is inspired by Islamic Revolution of Iran achieved due to uprising of Iranian nation."

"Islamic Awakening is an inexhaustible move," said the Muslim scholar adding, "Wave of Islamic Awakening has reached the heart of Europe and Occupy Wall Street is another result of that."

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani praised insight and bravery as two other features of those who struggle for God and said once people have insight against the plots, they would never be confused or cheated by plots and crises.

He also praised the high status of late Imam Khomeini (RA), founder of Islamic Revolution of Iran and said, "Late Imam Khomeini (RA) was truly courageous and left a greatly influenced the world equations with the victory of Islamic Revolution."
