Navideshahed: Egypt’s Ministry of Awqaf is planning to organize a national Quran memorization contest in the country in the near future.

According to ahram website, the contest would be held under the title of “Motivating Quranic Competitions”?.

Egyptian deputy minister of Awqaf in Quranic affairs, Sheikh Foa’ad Abdul-Azim said that registration for the contest is underway by Awqaf centers across the country.

“Specialized Quranic committees comprised of experts and Awqaf officials will select the qualified participants,”? he noted.

“Those who score 90 out of 100 in the first stage can make it to the next stage and the winners will get the permission to attend national and international stages of the event.”?

Another Quranic contest for the prayer leaders of mosques is also planned to be held in Egypt in the near future.
