Assassinated Iranian Scientist's Family Snubs West Media

Navideshahed: The assassinated Iranian scientist Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan's family has rejected a request by US and UK media for an interview, saying they will not talk to outlets affiliated with murderers of their beloved one.

“We hold the US, UK and the Zionist regime responsible for the blood of our dear martyr and will never talk to the media affiliated with the murderers of Mostafa the martyr,”? Ahmadi Roshan's family announced on Monday upon being asked for interviews by some Tehran-based American and British news networks.

Ahmadi Roshan was killed on January 11 after a motorcyclist attached a magnetic bomb to his car near a college building of Allameh Tabatabaei University in Tehran.

He was a chemical engineering graduate of the prominent Sharif University of Technology and served as the deputy director of marketing at Iran's Natanz nuclear facility.

On January 13, Iran announced the US and UK as being responsible for the terrorist act, adding that Tehran had amassed “credible evidence and reliable intelligence”? that the killing of Ahmadi Roshan had been carried out with the “guidance, support, and planning”? of the US intelligence service CIA.

Ahmadi Roshan was not the first Iranian nuclear scientist targeted by a terrorist attack.

In November, 2010, Majid Shahriari, another scientist, was killed in a terrorist attack and Dr. Fereydoun Abbasi, the current head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, sustained some injuries.

Professor Masoud Ali-Mohammadi, another scholar at Tehran University, was also assassinated by a booby-trapped motorbike in the Iranian capital in January 2010.

“On the one hand, they (US, UK and Zionists) assassinate our youths and on the other, they send reporters to sit to talk with us. This hypocritical conduct is the perennial trait of the Great Satan (US) and the Old Fox (UK),”? the bereaved family of Ahmadi Roshan concluded.
