Islamic Awakening is the Fruit of Muslims Unity

Akhoond Farahmand, Sunni cleric in Kalaleh, Golestan Province, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to former Libyan and Egyptian leaders as the puppets of the US and the Zionist regime highlighting Muslim unity as the reasons for victory of the nations against the dictators.

"It was due to the unity of the Muslims and their true belief in God Almighty that the Western puppets were toppled and Islamic systems were substituted," he said.

He praised the freedom and independence of the Iranian nation and called that a far-fetched dream for many Muslims around the world.

Akhoond Farahmand also referred to the unity verse in the holy Qur'an and underscored the importance of maintaining Muslim unity demanding Shia and Sunni clerics as well as the Muslim communities to play their role in boosting the unity in the Islamic society.

This Turkmen cleric hailed the Shia-Sunni unity as the fruit of the efforts by the founder of the Islamic Revolution, late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei calling all sects and denominations to avoid disagreement and follow the guidelines of the holy Qur'an.

He called unity as a necessity of the Islamic society and stressed all-out efforts to support the jurisprudence.

This Sunni cleric referred to anti-Islamic efforts of the enemies and said, "Enemies of Islam try any trick to divide Muslim denominations but Muslims will beat their plots by obeying the jurisprudence."
