Commemoration to be Held for Martyr Abdullah Meysami

According to Navideshahed, the commemoration of martyr Abdullah Meysami will be held at Thursday night, January 26, 2012 at a hall in the Ministry of Interior. The event will take place after evening and night prayer. This occasion will be held by presence of the family of martyr, the senior army and national authorities including ministers, members of Islamic parliament, the commanders of armed forces and people.

During this commemoration which will be held by the Foundation for Holding the Commemoration of Martyr Abdullah Meysami, Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani and major general Dr. Seyed Yahya Safavi, the assistant and senior councilor of supreme leader gave speech and the event was continued by displaying a clip related to this martyr.

It should be noted that before this, the occasion of martyr Abdullah Meysami was held on Thursday, January 05, 2012 and Thursday, January 19, 2012 respectively in Qom and Esfahan provinces.

Hojjat Ol Eslam Abdullah Meysami Momeni was a revolutionary and fighter who tolerated the difficulties and suffering for Shah’s prisons for 30 months and he continued his cultural activities in the deprived province of Kogiloyeh and Boyer-Ahmad. After that he was the representative of Imam Khomeini in Fars province. When the Iran-Iraq war started, he was present in the battlefields of war for 30 months and he played a significant role in performing sacrifices along with the other war veterans.
