Martyr Commander Ali Bastami Multimedia Software Released

Navideshahed: Martyr Commander Ali Bostani multimedia software, Shahed Publications 84th multimedia release, was released in a joint work with the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs Department in Ilam.

According to Navideshahed, this multimedia software is a collection of information and works related to martyr Ali Bastami, the commander of intelligence and operation section of the 1st Brigade of Amir Al-Momenin which belonged to the Army 4 of Besat. There are 56 photos, 91 pages of documents and 84 minutes film related to this respectful commander of Iran-Iraq war era.

The contents of this multimedia software include biography, memories, narrations of friends and comrades and the daily notes of this martyr. This software has the facility of information extraction as well.

Ali Bastami was born on April 21, 1963 in Ama village located in Malek Shahi city. He had a religious family. When the Islamic revolution began, he took part in the protests and demonstrations so actively and he was one of the great revolutionary fighters as well. After the victory of Islamic Revolution when the conflicts of anti-revolutionary militants started; he started fighting against them. He established a defensive group and this group would act during the nights. When the Iran-Iraq war started, Ali Bastami went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war era based on the demand of Imam Khomeini. He went to the war as a member of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. During the Iran-Iraq war he had different posts including the authority of Intelligence, deputy and commander of battalion, deputy of intelligence and operation units and also the commander of Intelligence Units. He was a strong commander who served honestly and greatly. He took part in different military operations including Ashura, Valfajr 9, Karbala 1, Karbala 4, Karbala 10, Nasr 4, Valfajr 4, Valfajr 8 and tens of other guerilla operations.

He was present in the battlefields for 50 months. He was finally killed in action on May 28, 1988 along with Mahmoud Pirniya and Gholam Rezayee Nezhad while they had gone to Mehran city and they stepped on a Valmara landmine.
