Iranian MPs:

Judaization of Holy Quds Signifies Israel's Racist Nature

Navideshahed: Iranian parliamentarians strongly condemned a recent Israeli Knesset bill which announced the Holy Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime, and stressed that the move is inspired by the racist nature of the regime.

"We, the members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, condemn this move, and believe that it has been inspired by the occupying and racist nature of the fake Israeli regime," said a joint statement which was signed by 210 Iranian parliamentarians.

The Iranian lawmakers also said that the move is a flagrant violation of the historical rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation and a clear violation of the international laws, the fourth Geneva Convention in particular.

They also called on the entire international and regional bodies and organization to take proper measures and give a resolute response to Tel Aviv's act which is also a violation of human rights.

On November 1, Israel's inner cabinet decided to speed up construction of homes for Jews in Arab East Quds (Jerusalem) and in other nearby settlements to punish the Palestinians for winning membership in the UN cultural agency, UNESCO.

Since then, Israel has issued announcements for 2,057 new homes in Arab East Quds and 1,241 in the West Bank, official figures show.

At least 200,000 Israelis live in a dozen settlement neighborhoods in East Quds (Jerusalem), which was captured by Israel in 1967 and annexed in a move never recognized internationally.

The Palestinians see the Holy Quds as the capital of their promised state and oppose any attempt to extend Israel's control over the part of the city that was captured in the 1967 Six Day War.
