Another Veteran Joined Martyrs

Navideshahed: A funeral procession for a Holy Defense veteran was held from Shahr-e-Rey Square to his burying place, Behesht-e-Zahra Graveyard.

According to Navideshahed quoting Fars News Agency, the 70 % devotee ‘Akbar Semnani’ was injured in 1979 during the climax of conflicts between the people and the soldiers of Taqoot’s regime. He was martyred last night.

A funeral procession was held for him from Shahr-e-Rey Square to Hazrat Abdolazim Shrine, before burying him in Martyrs Section of Behesht-e-Zahra Graveyard.

Martyr Semnani during the Islamic Revolution which took place in 1979 got paralyzed and he spent the rest of his lifetime on wheelchair. During the final days of his lifetime he was working as a blacksmith; he would repair the blacksmith tools and then he would sell them. He would not get tired at all and he would work from 8 o’clock in the morning until evening and sunset.

There are 2730 martyrs, 7000 veterans, and 492 former POWs in Rey County.
