Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, Iranian jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary in his weekly class held in Grand Mosque of Qom expressed regretted over the crimes against Shia in Bahrain and said the rulers would face the bitter result of their crimes, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
"Here I recommend you to give freedom of religion because that is the only demand of the people," the cleric addressed, while calling on Bahraini rulers to stop bothering people.
He said jurisprudence is not limited within the borders of the countries and a jurisprudent is in charge of defending rights of the Muslims wherever in the world they are.
The top Shia cleric said defending the oppressed people of Bahrain is not interference at all and those who count it so, are not familiar with the culture of jurisprudence.
Ayatollah Makerem referred to the people in Gaza and stressed that no matter where the Muslims are, they have to be defended.
