"The Foot that was Left" to be Unveiled

Navideshahed: ‘The Foot that was Left’ will be unveiled by the presence of authorities from Kohgiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad Province on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mehr Forum of Artistic Center.

According to Navideshahed quoting the Public Relations of Sureh Mehr Publications, some of the members of the Islamic Parliament including Satar Hedayat Khah; the vice-deputy of the cultural commission of the Islamic Parliament and members of the Islamic Parliament for the people of Kohgiloyeh and Boyer Ahmad province will be present during the unveiling ceremony as well.

Also Hajjat Ol Eslam Seyed Mehdi Khamooshi, the head of Islamic Propaganda Organization, Mohsen Momeni, the head of the Artistic Center, Mortaza Sarhangi, the manager of Lierature and Resistance Art Office and Seyed Naser Huseini Pour, the narrator of the book will give speech as well.

The book ‘The Foot that was Left’ includes 198 memories expressed by Seyed Naser Husseini Pour. He expresses some memories regarding the time that he was in captivity in the Iraqi camps. The author of the book was a guide for the battalion 18 of Shohada. He had been dispatched to Majnoon Islands to support the fighters of the battalion Ghasem Ebn Al-Hassan (AS). During an operation, his foot was injured. He wrote down his daily memories related to captivity era on the pieces of newspaper, cigarettes packets. He had placed these memories in his stick and when he was freed, he took them to Iran.

The interesting issue is that Husseini Pour has rewarded the book to Valid Farhan, the Iraqi torturer due to that much beauty that he has created in his actions.

Before this, Mortaza Sarhangi, the manager of Lierature and Resistance Art Office had read the memories in details and he considered this book an extraordinary and marvelous book. He also admired the book as well.

The book ‘The Foot that was Left’ has been published by Literature and Resistance Art Office of Sureh Mehr Publication. The book has been written in 768 pages and it was produced in 2500 copies with the price of 1400 Toman per book.

It should be noted that unveiling the book will take place at 15:00 on Monday, December 26, 2011 at Mehr Forum of Artistic Center.
