Culture of Ashura Cancels Effect of Sanctions

Navideshahed: Senior Iranian jurisprudent referred to the terrorist attacks in the mourning ceremony of Imam Hussein in Muslim countries and said that enemies can never \"trivialize Ashura\".

Ayatollah Nasser Makareme Shirazi, grand jurisprudent and professor at Qom Seminary expressed his view on the mourning ceremonies of Muharram and hailed the increasing passion for Ashura and Imam Hussein (AS) among people, according to Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He referred to the massive participation of the people in mourning ceremonies and expressed regret over the terror attacks on mourners in Iraq and Afghanistan saying the whole world criticizes these heinous acts.

\"We wonder when the enemies want to wake up from this ignorance and stop their crimes,\" said the cleric, while warning the enemies over any effort to trivialize Ashura among Muslims.

Top jurisprudent also referred to the recent remarks of a British politician on anti Iran sanctions and said they all know that these sanctions do not affect the people because as far as Ashura is commemorated, no one can impose any pressure over Iran.

He expressed his gratitude for those who participated in the ceremonies and said culture of Ashura is a kind of insurance for the system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
