Iranian Students Back "Occupy Wall Street" Protests in US

Navideshahed: Iranian students have voiced their solidarity with the Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters rallying against corporate greed' and top-level corruption in the United States.

According to Navideshahed quoting IRIB World Service, in a letter released on Tuesday, students from 52 Iranian universities announced their support for the anti-corporatism movement in the US, and expressed outrage with Washington's policies.

The letter reads: “While we are witnessing the wave of awakening, resistance and love for freedom sweep through the heart of Europe and other countries in addition to Muslim nations, the capitalist establishment led by the US government has long imposed its forceful rule… and a minority has taken control of the country."

The letter further denounced attempts by pro-Israeli media to portray the OWS campaign as a minority communist movement, and called on the US students to fight for their human, cultural, social and economic rights and free their country from the grip of Zionists.

The Iranian students also condemned the US-drafted scenario to implicate Iran in having plotted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador to Washington, arguing that Iran has been openly expressing its stance to the international community and does no need to resort to “clandestine terrorist attacks”? to promote its cause.
