Iranian Embassy In Lebanon Hosts Confab on Islamic Awakening

The meeting was in fact a follow-up to an International Conference on Islamic Awakening held earlier this month in Tehran.

Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi said in a speech that the most important element behind regional uprising is people's wish to revive their real dignity and position.

He also outlined struggle for justice and development under the Islamic banner and resistance against the US, West and the Zionist regime’s influence on the region as the main aim of the uprisings.

The Iranian ambassador said that there are naturally some dangers in the way of such struggles but revolutionary people must know they are able to neutralize such dangers.

Na’im Ghasen, deputy secretary for Lebanese Hezbollah, Sheikh Ahmad Az-Zein and Sheikh Hashem Menghare, members of the Leadership Council of Islamic Action, Sheikh Ahmad Ghablan and some other intellectuals and thinkers also delivered speeches at the meeting.
