The Holy Defense Veteran, Mohammad Rahim Zeyghami, Joined his Comrades

According to Navideshahed quoting Fars News Agency, Martyr Mohammad Rahim Zeyghami was one of the chemically injured veterans of the Sacred Defense era and the son in law of Jojjat Ol-Eslam Sheikh Ahmad Kafi. He died yesterday in Sasan hospital after many years suffering the pains resulted from chemical weapons.

“My father was exposed to chemical weapons during the military operation ‘Valfajr 4’”?, Abdul Hussein Zeyghami the youngest son of the late Zeyghami told the reporter of Fars News Agency.


“Mohammad Rahim Zeyghami’s lungs, eyes and skin had been severely exposed to mustard and nerve agents during the Iran-Iraq war”?, his youngest son said.

Regarding the confirmation of his father’s martyrdom or death said: “Whether my father to be considered as a martyr by the Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs depends on the result of forensic medicine which will be announced after a month. We will also bury the body of my father in the piece of devotees and martyrs families.”?

The grandson of the late Kafi mentioned: “ Even though my father had been severely affected by chemical weapons and he had to move with a walker; but during the final days of his lifetime he was in icu and whenever we would ask his health condition, he would say ‘Thanks God’ and he was always satisfied of everything.”?

He continued: “My father liked to provide services to the charities and to help the people and though he was physically sick, but he would not give up his nightly worshipping.”?

The pure body of Mohammad Rahim Zeyghami on Tuesday will be escorted from the front side of his house and it will be buried in the piece of devotees and martyrs families’ graves. A funeral will be held for martyr Mohammad Rahim Zeyghami on Thursday evening in Sarallah Mosque located in Shahid Rejayee St, Abrisham St, at the beginning of Shahid Dastvareh Blvd, Shahid Beheshti Town, Fifth Alley.
