"War Victims, the Messengers of Peace" Photo Exhibition, this Time in Café Mania

Navideshahed: A series of the photos taken by Mehdi Monem titled “War Victims, Peace Messengers’ will be held in Café Mania on the International Day of Peace.

According to Navideshahed quoting Hayat News Agency, Monem before this had held a more completed photo exhibition in the gallery ‘Silk Road’, this time he has provided the best photos of the previous gallery for his new gallery.

The photos are relevant to the civilians who have been victimized during the eight year war of Iran-Iraq. Before this Monem by publishing a book titled ‘The Victims of Iran-Iraq War’ made a statement to defend the non-military victims of the wars and he aimed to convey the message of the peace to the people of the world as well.

Mehdi Monem is a documentary photographer who takes social photos. He started his professional photographing job since 1981. He went to the Iran-Iraq war and he took photos from different scenes of the Imposed War Era. He took photos from the Imposed War devotees and chemically injured patients in 1988, published the book ‘Hope Miracle’ regarding the devotees in 1999, took photos from chemically injured patients and the Iraqi air raids victims and the victims of the landmines left from the Iran-Iraq war era as the victims of war in 2001 and published the black & white book titled ‘War Victims’ in his professional background.

‘War Victims, Peace Messengers’ is the fifth photo exhibition which will be held in Café Mania. Before this the photos of Ali Akbar Shir Jiyan as ‘Mediterranean and Democracy’, Abulfazl Nesayee as ‘Ameneh’, Reza Milani as ‘Repeating the Ambiguous Sound’ and Farzaneh Khademiyan as ‘Bus’ have been illustrated in this Café as well.

The interested persons can observe the photos every day from 9:00 AM to 23:00 by referring to the following address: Tehran, Fatemi Square, Vali Asr St, Commercial and Administrative Complex Number 37.
