Two Minors Arrested amid Clashes in Silwan

Navideshahed: Three males including two minors have been arrested as locals in East Jerusalem's Silwan district fell into violent clashes with Israeli forces on Saturday.

Accroding to Navideshahed and as reported by Wadi Hilweh Information Center (WHIC), Israeli occupation forces invaded the neighborhoods of Al-Bustan and Beir Ayyub in Silwan and showered the alleys there with tear gas.

Undercover Israeli soldiers arrested Mazen Odeh and two minors who have yet to be identified, the WHIC said.

During the clashes, youths countered the soldiers with stones and empty bottles, the WHIC said, adding that IOF soldiers raided several homes in Al-Bustan district and fired live ammunition in Beir Ayyub.

Elsewhere, the West Bank Iraq Burin village south of Nablus has been fully blocked off in a step by Israeli forces to prevent foreigners from entering the village and protesting against Jewish settlement in the West Bank.

Activists meet at the village every Saturday to voice out against Jewish settlement activity and to prevent more land from being usurped by the nearby Yitzhar and Bracha settlements.
