Not Published Letter from Martyr Chamran

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - “Hamshahri Javan Ayeh”? Magazine has published a letter from Martyr Chamran in its Mehr Month issue [September - October issue] which had not published in past. It seems that Martyr Chamran had written this letter for one of his friends in the Islamic Association of University Students in America. Of course, this letter had never been posted.

The letter is as the following:
“My dear friend, due to my situation and the situation in which I am caught up in willingly or unwillingly, I am in continuous touch with all types of people of Lebanon and their leaders from the left wing to right wing as well as all types of Palestinian people and their leaders and also all desperate people of Lebanon from the northern villages including “Hermel”? and “Akar”? to the southern villages in the border of Israel which are namely “Naghoureh”? and “Ayta Al - Sha’b”?. I am in touch with people from “Tal - Za’tar”? to “Naba’eh”?. I am in touch with all of these people.
I am not the kind of person who sits in coffee shops and speak about pains and sufferings and problems of war refugees from “Tal - Za’tar”? to “Naba’eh”?. And I am not that kind of person who opens his eyes to the world through news papers and radio. … It is unfortunately the work that most of intellectual people do. And even the intellectual people who come to this area obtain the required information through this way.
I deeply and really feel and touch all the truth. I live with people in all the villages from the north to the south of this country. I spend time with people in these villages. I am familiar with the pains and sufferings of these people. I live with combatants in battle fields in Beirut and in all other regions. I eat food with them. I sleep in their place and next to them under the explosion of bombs and fire of guns. I carry martyrs and the injured people on my shoulder. And it is only chance and destiny to remain alive when bullets are shot towards us.
I am in touch with the Palestinian people all the time. And I live with them because of my situation and place. I am always in touch with them in training camps in the battle fields. I am in continuous touch with the great leaders of resistance such as “Arafat”? and “Abu Jahad”?. I also in touch with lower ranks and ordinary combatants of this resistance force. You may wonder if I tell you that we commonly make a large number of plans in presence and with consultation of leaders of resistance. And I some times report news and analyses about resistance to the leaders of this movement that causes them to surprise. I am fully familiar with the way of thinking of every individual person in this movement. I also completely know the arguments between members of this movement.”?
