The Unknown War-Disabled

(By Mohammad Reza Yasini, The martyr's Brother)
A few days after the martyrdom of my brother (Reza) in Tang-e-Chazabeh battlefield we had held a mourning ceremony in my brother's, General Yasini. A group of sacrificing personnel of the Air Force had participated in this glorious ceremony.
I was immersed in my thoughts and bereaved by the martyrdom of my young brother, when one of my brother's colleagues (General Yasini) patted me on the shoulder and sat beside me. He, trying to conciliate me somehow, broke my grievous silence and said, "Dear Mohammad, how are you doing? I hope you are all right". I replied, "Thank God. Thank you". He asked, "Mohammad! Did
you know that your brother (General Yasini) was a war disabled of the imposed war?" I said I did not know. Then he asked, "Why! Didn't you?"
Then he told me that he was 55% disabled. I answered he had not told us and it was the first time we heard of it.
For some time I gazed at his lovely face in bewilderment. I was thinking of the days when he did not stop flying. He was always, in spite of being wounded, interested in the war missions and excelled his fellow combatants.

Though he had had important responsibilities during the years of sacred defense, this never prevented him from flying. He was not fond of clerical work and took advantage of every opportunity to fly.
Some days after the mourning ceremony of my brother, I thought perhaps only I was unaware of his being wounded but after making a lot of inquiries I found out that only his own family knew about it but others had no estimation of the percentage of his being wounded.
