A Stranger in the Mosque
(By Martyr Pilot General Reza Khorshidi)
Abbass used to do most of the war missions himself except when performing flight missions, he used to wear the mobilized forces uniform.
When he wanted to go somewhere, he used to go without prior notice, because he hated formalities.
I heard one day he entered a base and went directly to the base mosque, without informing anyone.
After saying his prayers, he decided to rest a while.
A soldier informed the officer on guard that somebody had entered the mosque and was sleeping there. The officer rushed to the mosque and called him by kicking him in the side; he tried to wake him up and said, "Hey, man get up."
Abbass woke up and looked at the officer and said, "I am sorry I was very tired and I fell asleep.
The officer on guard informed the base security forces. After a while, they entered the mosque. As they faced Abbass, they recognized him, and told the officer, "He is not a stranger, how come you did not recognize him?"
The officer on guard asked, "Who is he?" Somebody said, "He is General Babaee". The man who was at the scene said.
The officer on guard got embarrassed and did not know what to say.
Abbass noticed that, and while smiling approached the officer on guard and hugged him, and said, "Do not worry. You have done your duty".
