A Married Soldier and His Family Problems

(By Ahmad Biabani)
I had left the mosque and was busy watering the area when I saw the guard, who was weeping and wiping tears off his face. He could not talk because of weeping. I asked him what the problem was. After he wept for a while he told me, "Before coming here to do my military service I left my wife and two kids with my parents. The last time that I took leave I realized that there were some hard feelings between my parents and my wife. I tried to reconciliate them some how, but I couldn't. Last Friday when I went back home there was no trace of my wife and kids. My mother said that my wife had had a row with my parents, the previous night and had left home with the kids. I asked where they were then.
But she said she did not know. With great worry and indignation I let the house to look for them. I was able to find my family with difficulty. My dear father it is two days now, that they haven't had a safe roof over there head and they just eat to keep the body and soul together. I do not know how to do my military service. I was shocked to hear this. I told him to strengthen his patience and determination, "You can talk to the base commander and tell him your problem. He will come to the mosque within minutes. I left him alone." After a few minutes martyr Babaee came to the mosque. I took the soldier to martyr Babaee. On seeing us he stood up and asked what the matter was. I answered he has problems.
Martyr Babaee asked what he could do for us. The young soldier was extremely surprised to see the base commander in plain shirt and trousers and a shaven head. I was watching them form a distance but observed that martyr Babaee put his hand on the soldier's shoulder and then departed. When martyr Babaee came nearer. I saw him weeping and talking quietly to himself. When I asked the cause of his weeping he said father Ahmad, I am too inattentive, may God forgive my negligence.
Martyr Babaee, immediately ordered to give one of the rooms in the guesthouse to that soldier and his family and to give them three meals. The next days, at his order, I took a piece of floor mat to their room and delivered it to them.
