Hezbollah condemns Hermel bombing

Navideshahed- Hezbollah and Lebanon’s army have condemned the recent fatal bomb attack in the northeastern town of Hermel.

The Lebanese resistance movement said in a statement on Sunday that the bombing “proves that such terrorism is not looking for causes or reasons to carry out its crimes.”?
Hezbollah warned that terrorism “is a danger for the whole of Lebanon,”? saying that the perpetrators were the enemies of the Lebanese people.
The Lebanese army also condemned the attack, saying the military “is paying the price in the blood of its soldiers to fight terrorism, and to establish social peace.”?
The army said the attack was intended to foment fear and chaos, asking the Lebanese people to stand by the military.
At least three people were killed and 18 others, among them five soldiers, injured in a car bomb blast targeting a military post in Hermel on Saturday.
The al-Qaeda-linked group Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Hermel is located in the Bekaa Valley 10 kilometers from the Syrian border and is regarded a stronghold of Hezbollah. The town has been witnessing multiple attacks in recent months.
The attack followed a similar explosion that hit an Iranian cultural center in southern Beirut on February 19. Eight people died in the terrorist attack.
Abdullah Azzam Brigades also claimed responsibility for the Beirut attack.
The group carried out a twin bombing against the Iranian Embassy in Beirut in November 2013, which killed over two dozen people and left at least 150 others injured.
