Arabs view Israel, US as greatest threats

Navideshahed- A newly released poll shows many people in the Arab world view Israel and the United States as the greatest threats to their countries.

According to the survey by the French Sociovision Institute, about 40 percent of Arabs participating in the poll view Israel as the most vicious threat against them. And 15 percent of those polled said the US posed the greatest threat.
This comes despite Washington and Tel Aviv’s attempts to portray a negative image of Iran in the eyes of Arab nations. The poll was conducted in 12 Arab states in January.
About three years ago, people in several Arab countries started demonstrations against their oppressive leaders and their pro-Israeli and pro-US policies.
Tunisia was the pioneer in the wave of Islamic Awakening that swept the Arab world. The anti-regime protests erupted in December 2010, and forced President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali to leave power next month.
