** Imam Khomeini delivered an expanded lecture at the gathering of clergies. In a part of his words he stated, “Monarchical Regime was unreasonable since the very beginning… Every nation must itself decide its own destiny.”?
** Associated Press: Bakhtiar said, “Advocates of Ayatollah Khomeini may cry, jangle and insult; it does not prove anything. But the news that several million people have come to welcome the Ayatollah is exaggerated.”? He added that he was still eager to visit him.
** Associated Press reported: The Army commanders have warned that in case of Ayatollah Khomeini’s act against the Constitution they would react.
** Radio Moscow: Iranian students in America demonstrated in front of the White House in protest to the US interferences in domestic affairs of Iran.
** In some cities inclusive of Semnan and Torbat-I Jam some people were martyred in protesting rallies.
** A member of SAVAK was assassinated in Tehran. He was General Motamedi and a high-ranking member of SAVAK.
** Radio BBC: Ayatollah Shariatmadari has said that in regime change from Monarchy to Republic caution must be observed and many preparations are required. Note: he supports the Constitution whereby Monarchy is survived.
** Dr. Sanjabi called for Bakhtiar resignation. He also added. “The National Front is loyal to Imam Khomeini.”?
