Martyr Sohrab Norouzi's Father Passes Away

Navideshahed: Haj Ali Hussein Nourozi, the father of respectful commander of Islam ‘martyr Sohrab Nourozi’ died at the age of 83.

Haj Ali Hussein Nourozi was the father of the commander of Tohid Battalion from the Brigade 44 Ghamar Bani Hashem (AS) during Kheibar military operation. He died at the age of 83 in the hospital ‘Ayatollah Kashani’ located in Shahre Kurd city.

Haj Ali Hussein Nourozi was one of the revolutionary fighters and Basijs of the Epic and sacrifice era. His body was escorted by thousands of authorities, war veterans, Basijis and different classes of society and then it was buried in Chelicheh village located in Farsan city.

The funeral of the 7th day passing from his demise will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Saheb Al-Zaman mosque of Chelicheh village.

It should be noted that martyr Commander Sohrab Nourozi was born in 1957 in a religious family in Chelicheh village, one of the deprived villages of Chahar Mahal and Bakhtiyari Province. After graduation from Teaching Training Center of Brojen, he started his work as a teacher for many years. He taught in the schools of deprived villages.

Commander martyr Sohrab Nourozi also started his fighting against Shah’s regime and he took part in the demonstrations and protests which would be raised against that regime. In a way that the SAVAK forces got afraid of his activities and they arrested him and they imprisoned him as well.

After the victory of Islamic Revolution, martyr Nourozi along with his teaching activities, he became a member of Basji as well. After that he was appointed as a commander for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. He constructed some houses for the poor people of villages and the mosque Saheb Al-Zaman for his village.

Martyr Nourozi helped the farmers by creating a well too.

He also activated the Islamic Society of the village. He had made the village Basij as one of the most active centers for their village. The elementary and guidance schools had been constructed for the village by him. Also the Fund Loan Box is a souvenir left from martyr Nourozi.

Dowlat Abad dam has been constructed by martyr Nourozi.

Martyr commander Nourozi was appointed as a commander of a military group and he went to the battlefields of Iran-Iraq war at the beginning of this war. He was a manager. He would perform many sacrifices and he was a kind person as well. He would worship God during nights and he would fight strongly against the enemy in the battlefields.

His sacrifices during the military operation Fathol Mobin and his great fighting won’t be forgotten by anyone. He was intensively injured during this military operation. He was unconscious for 8 nights and days.

During the military operation ‘Valfajr Moghadamati’ he was the commander of a battalion. The Iraqi Baathist forces could do nothing useful during this military operation, because this battalion had a strong and brave commander such as martyr Nourozi. During this operation the enemy was badly defeated. The epic of Zolfaghar battalion is not forgettable. It was an epic which was created by Sohrab.

During the military operation ‘Kheibar’, martyr Nourozi was one of the persons who were present in the frontiers. He fought against the enemy during three days and nights continuously and he was able to push back the enemy from the islands. He was the commander of Tohid battalion until the time that he was martyred. He did many sacrifices during the war and eventually he was martyred.

Commander Nourozi had so much braveness and management in a way that martyr commander Shahmoradi regarding this martyr had said: “We did not know Nourozi. He was a strong commander of the battalion in the Army. Eventually Commander Sohrab Nourozi was martyred on February 14, 1984 during the military operation ‘Kheibar’ while he was the commander of Tohid battalion.

During the military operation ‘Kheibar’ he attempted so much to stand against the enemy that had been supported by the whole world and he was able to do it as well, but the enemy deployed chemical weapons so unfairly during this operation. Since Sohrab wanted his forces to be safe against chemical weapons, he himself was intensively exposed to chemical weapons and then he was taken to hospital to receive treatment.

The headquarters commanders had emphasized that they should save Sohrab Nourozi and that he must survive. But it seemed that it was the time that martyr Nourozi to meet God. After staying in the hospital for a few hours, his spirit flew towards the sky and he was martyred.
