Razieh Tojjar: The Sacred Defense Literature Should Rely on Quranic Concepts

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - As the Islam combatants entered the battle field relying on Quran and achieved the victory, the literature of the sacred defense should also rely on Quran and Quranic concepts, Shahed Cultural Information Base reported as quoting Razieh Tojjar.

According to the report, Razieh Tojjar, the deputy manager of “Iran Pen Association”? and an author in the field of the sacred defense said: “when the whole doors closed to our forces during the war, our combatants opened those doors by seizing Quran and imams. Then they removed the obstacles and conquered. And it is the continuous presence of Quran during the years of sacred defense.”? Today, the literature of the sacred defense has become far from the ideals of the sacred defense period. It is slower than the epics of the sacred defense. Paying attention to the affective role of Quran in victory of the combatants and also being aware of the spiritual aspect of the connection between the combatants and Quran and also understanding the value concepts during the sacred defense, authors and poets should lessen the distance between their works and the reality. They should make the addressees familiar with the concepts of the sacred defense, she mentioned. Razieh Tojjara, the author of “Aghaghia Lane”? book further added: “Noticing at the story like structure of Quran and using the element of conciseness of Quran can be a good model for the authors who write in the field of sacred defense. This way they can make themselves closer to the heavenly identity of the values of the sacred defense and the blood of the martyrs.”? Authors and poets are nowadays living in an atmosphere far from the excitements of the war time. They can enter the sacred defense literature by thinking more. So they can study the cultural effects of the sacred defense literature on our social systems as well as national and religious thoughts, she said. The duty of the sacred defense literature is to make a connection between war realities and events with the ego of the addressees. It should transfer the message of resistance and defending Islamic values and beliefs at the framework of modeling to the next generations. If it doesn’t happen it means that they have not succeeded to transfer the concepts. And they have not been successful in fulfilling their religious duty, Razieh Tojjar said. Noticing the epics of the sacred defense years is a national and religious duty. The war time was a part of historic and national identity of Islamic Iran. It belongs to the whole Iranian people. And it is the fact that turns the subject (noticing and writing about war epics) into a national duty. Writing memories of combatants is the most popular type of writing at this field. Such memories should be written apart from considering literary elements. Memories should be collected and transferred to the addressees directly. So future people can be inspired from the memories and write independent stories in the field of sacred defense literature using their own imaginations and creativity, the deputy manager of “Iranian Pen Association”? said. The sacred defense literature requires new programming. It should be away from governmental views. The officials should pave the way such that authors feel the need to write about sacred defense epics and see it in a new way, she concluded.
