The official website of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, www.khamanei.ir, has recently released seven memories by the Leader on the occasion of the anniversary of the Sacred Defense.
Portal of KHAMENEI.IR published a memory of the early days of Imam Khomeinis returning to Iran in 1979 and a story about his familiarity with the Holy Quran. The title of this section is "Revolution of Quran" and a part of audio file of Supreme Leaders memory is released in this program for the first time in thirty-three years. According to Jamaran, the memory of Islamic Revolution Leader is as follows:
NAVID SHAHED: in a time, saying word of “Khomeini” was illegal and its punishment was jail, combination of these 8 letters, K-h-o-m-e-i-n-I, as unique word of Khomeini in all books and newspapers were forbidden.
In this memorandum, we have visited a chivalrous man whose courage and stamina is a proud for the youth of this land. His last honorable minutes of life turned to the style of the Islamic history and Iran brave men as well as a proof to show that their life is not a legend. Tayeb Haj Rezaei and Ismaeil Haj Rezaei shielded the people who shouted their dignity and honor in the 15th of Khordad (June 5th, 1963).
Martyr Abbas Babaei was a great man who was raised in the school of martyrdom. He was a fighter whose piety and devotion was a roaring sea and whose moments of life were full of ups and downs and tumultuous waves.
Hussein Kharrazi was a distinguished commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps who fell martyr in the course of Iran-Iraq war. During the Operation Karabala-5, when the delivery of food to the troops got disrupted as the enemy’s artillery was firing at its peak capacity, Haj Hussein took it upon himself to resolve the issue, but, as a result of a mortar explosion on February 27, 1987 he fell martyr, joining the army of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in the heaven, his Ashurayi soul becoming a pilgrim of Karbala.
Among the historical monuments of Rasht city in Gilan province, the tomb of Mirza Kouchak Khan Jangali reminds us of the struggles of a freedom fighter to protect Iran against the machinations of colonial powers.
It behooves me to make a few comments about Shahid (Martyr) Mustafa Chamran during this meeting. First of all, Mustafa Chamran was an outstanding and talented person, in addition to being a scientist. He would tell me about the manner in which his professors used to treat him and about his progression of scholarly works while completing his graduate studies in the United States of America.
