Hosseini Red Flag Hoisted in Paris
TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Concurrent with Arbaeen Hosseini (The anniversary of 40th day after martyrdom of Imam Hossein) the red flag of Imam Hossein Holy Shrine, which was presented by “Foundation for Preservation of Monuments and Dissemination of Values of Sacred Defense”? to “Islamic Associations Union of University Students Resident in Europe”?, was hoisted in a high place in Shiite Mosque in Paris which is located in south eastern part of France capital.
A large number of Muslims resident in Paris and different nationalities such Iranian, Pakistani, Madagascan and Lebanese attended this ceremony and screamed “Ya Hossein”?. According to the reporter of Navideshahed quoting “Headquarters of Welcoming Hosseini Flag of “Islamic Associations Union of University Students Resident in Europe”?”?; a mourning ceremony was held for Imam Hossein. Iranian and other Muslim youth attended this spiritual ceremony enthusiastically. The report adds that the holy flag was also hoisted in a “Hosseinieh”? (A place for religious and mourning ceremonies) located at Dino Building. And Imam Hossein lovers held a mourning ceremony beside that flag. It should be mentioned that this holy flag will be hoisted in Hamburg Islamic Center and Islamic Center of England in London respectively on March 7th and 8th, 2008. And a large number of Imam Hossein lovers will attend these ceremonies. This beautiful action is being carried out in Europe for the first time.
