Encyclopedia of Names of Martyrs of Mazandaran Province Will Be Compiled by the End of Year

In an exclusive interview with Navideshahed; Jalil Safari added: “Documentary and brief biographies of 10,256 martyrs of this province will be written in an encyclopedia in a near future.”? The information about approximately 5,000 martyrs of the province has been collected by now. The information which is collected in this encyclopedia is precise, scientific and up-to-date. And it is compiled conformed to standards of writing encyclopedia, he added. According to him, the most important information which is noticeable in this encyclopedia includes the report on origin of martyrs as far as economic and social situation is concerned, how and where they were martyred, the part of body injury which resulted in martyrdom, military grades, education, special specialties and the status of being military or non- military. As for major sources to obtain information and using in Encyclopedia of Names of Martyrs, General Director of “Studies and Research”? Office of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? said: “The information is collected from martyrs’ families, their companions in battle fields and the existing files in “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”?.”? In conclusion, Safari said: “Encyclopedia of Names of Martyrs of Islamic Revolution and sacred Defense in Kordestan, Boushehr, Hormozgan, Semnan, Golestan, Grand Tehran, Isfahan and Fars provinces will be also ready to be published by March 2008. Encyclopedia of Names of Martyrs of Kermanshah Province has been already published.
