Nationwide Festival of Sacred Defense of “Payam-e Nour”? Universities throughout the Country Will Be Held

Hojat-ol-Islam Hossein Mouri, Head of “Cultural and Extra Programs of “Payam-e Nour”? University in Khoozestan Province announced the above news to the reporter of Navideshahed in Khoozestan and said: “This festival will be held in Ahvaz on February 20th and 21st, 2008. And over 4,000 university students of “Payam-e Nour”? Universities throughout the country will attend this festival.”? This festival will include different programs such as holding exhibitions, writing weblog, writing poetry, texts and articles with the subjects of epic of sacred defense and culture of “Basij and Martyrdom”?, he added. According to Mouri, over 50 stands for exhibiting university students’ works in mentioned fields will be held. He further said: “University students will stay in one of the garrisons of sacred defense time in conclusion of the festival. They will also join passengers of “Rahian Nour”? tours by attending cemeteries of unknown martyrs and operation regions of the 8 years of sacred defense in Khoozestan.”? The main subject of this festival will be the revolt of Imam Hossein and Ashoura movement. And that is due to the direct, effective and deep relation between sacred defense and the culture of “Basiji”? and self sacrifice with bloody movement of Imam Hossein. Works of university students in different fields of epic of sacred defense and the culture of “Basij”? and self sacrifice are also rooted in Imam Hossein revolt, Hojat-ol-Islam Hossein Mouri said. Commander of “Base of Women University Students’ Basij”? of “Payam-e Nour”? University in Khorramshahr also said: “Exhibition of Payam-e Nour University of Khorramshahr will focus on reviewing the epic of Khorramshahr defenders against Ba’thi enemies and also exhibiting the works remained from unknown martyrs.”? Hajar Toopal added: “This exhibition will be held in cooperation with “Cultural Center of Sacred Defense of Khorramshahr”?. And a large number of photos about the epic of sacred defense and the culture of self sacrifice and martyrdom will be exhibited.”?
