Esmaeel Amini: Sacred Defense Poetry, the Most Popular Type of Poetry

In an interview with Navideshahed; Amini said: “Sacred defense literature has position in our lives as much as war does.”? Amini referred to the fact that side effects of war are still observed in our lives. He continued: “We still have martyrs’ families and war wounded people. And we still have ruins of the war. And consequently, poetry war is beside our lives.”? Some people believe that saying war poetry is actually admiring war; but I think such people are very illiterate people; because epic is an eternal phenomenon based on categorization of western people; it means that lyric, regional, dramatic and epic literature and also a major part of literary masterpieces are epics. And “Shahnameh Ferdowsi”? is an example of such epic, he added. “Shahnameh Ferdowsi”? is also a narration of war. Wars of “Shahnameh”? have been ordinary and literary wars; but they have become a part of literary masterpieces of the world due to their strong literary aspects. Literary masterpieces of the world however admire war –the wars which have not been so sacred- and e had a war in which we defended our religious and spiritual thoughts. And is it anti-peace if we have a literature in this field?! Fighting itself does not have any originality. Fighting is for eliminating grounds of war. And our action was not war at all; but it was defense, Amini said. In conclusion of the interview, this poet answered to our reporters’ question about the effect of Gheysar Aminpour’s poetry on literature of Islamic Revolution and sacred defense as follows: “Mr Aminpour taught one thing to others in the field of war literature, religious literature and Islamic Revolution literature. And it was the reality that this job should not be considered as an easy job. Form, expression and technique should be on the top point if the subject we are writing about is valuable and sacred. It means that we should not be satisfied with little and weak works. “Gheysar Aminpour”? wrote his works as he believed. And it is a big lesson that we can learn from his poems.”?
