Dehghan: Muslim Women Expanded Revolution Being Inspired by Women Martyrs of Iran

According to the reporter of Navideshahed; Dr. Hossein Dehghan, Head of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? attended the “First International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? in “Vahdat Hall”? in Tehran on February 2nd. He delivered speech at this congress and said: “Women’s role has been outstanding and important during fights for Islamic Revolution and 8 years of sacred defense.”? Women did not have any position before victory of Islamic Revolution. They were merely tools of developing consuming markets; but they could again return to their real status due to Islamic Revolution, Dehghan added. He also referred to political and social fights of women and said: “Presence and efforts of martyred and isargar women in victory of Islamic Revolution have not been less than men’s. And the pictures remained from people’s demonstrations and fights prove this reality. Fighter and martyr women during Islamic Revolution are examples for fighter women in Islam world. Muslim women in Lebanon, Palestine and any other countries expanded revolution in Islam world being inspired by women martyrs of Iran.”? There are 6600 women martyrs during Islamic Revolution and 8 years of sacred defense. “International Congress on Honoring Women Martyrs”? has succeeded to collect biographies of over 5000 women martyrs by now, Head of “Martyr Foundation and Isargaran Affairs”? added.
