Derakhshandeh may portray female presence in the sacred defense

TEHRAN, (SCIB) - Director Pouran Derakhshandeh will make a film titled “sparrow”? on female presence in the sacred defense, if she can finance the project.

“I am still doing research on my next project. I have a number of plans in mind. I will start working on one of them as soon as I find a financer.”? Derakhshandeh told reporters. The acclaimed female Iranian director told our reporter that she is working on a script called “Sparrow”? which focuses on women at war. At the same time she is looking for financial resources to turn the book ‘Don’t take me to Baghdad’ into a film script. Her two other plans include a script on the life of the children is her previous films ‘Relationship’ and ‘The little Bird of Happiness’. “The film looks at the present conditions of the lives of these actors and how cinema has influenced their lives.”? A ceremony to honor this renowned filmmaker is being held in Kermanshah by the center for the intellectual development of children and young adults. Derakhshandeh’s latest film ‘Eternal Children’ focusing on children suffering from Down’s syndrome is awaiting its screening in the near future. The film was screened in last year’s Fajr Film Festival as well Hamedan Children and Young Adults’ film festival.
