100 Iranian Athletes Martyred in 12-Day Israeli Aggression
Iran’s deputy minister of sports and youths, Mohammad Shervin Asbaqian, announced on Monday that at least 100 Iranian athletes were martyred during the Israeli regime’s 12-day military aggression against the Islamic Republic.

The updated figure reflects a significant rise from an earlier count provided by Seyed Ghani Nazari, another ministry official, who had reported 68 athlete casualties earlier this month.

According to government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani, a total of 1,062 people were martyred during the war.
On June 13, Israel launched a blatant and unprovoked act of aggression against Iran, assassinating high-ranking military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary civilians.

More than a week into the conflict, the United States also entered the war by bombing three Iranian nuclear sites—an act Iran has described as a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
On June 24, Iran’s retaliatory operations against both the Israeli regime and the United States brought an end to the illegal assault.
