Iran's supreme leader offers condolences on Hujjat-ul-Islam Tabatabaei’s demise

Agency) - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei
offered his condolences over the demise of prominent cleric and teacher
of ethics Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei.
In
a message released by the Leader’s official website, Ayatollah Khamenei
expressed condolences to the relatives, friends and devotees of the
senior cleric.
The Leader noted that Hojat-ol-Islam Tabatabaei made good efforts to promote ethics and spirituality during his life.
Ayatollah Khamenei prayed for divine grace and blessings on the cleric’s soul and patience for the bereaved family.
Hojat-ol-Islam
Tabatabaei was an Iranian Shia cleric, teacher of ethics and
conservative politician who served as member of parliament, representing
Mashhad and Kalat from 1984 to 1988.
He also represented the districts of Tehran, Rey, Shemiranat and Eslamshahr from 2004 to 2008.
He passed away on May 17, 2018, in Tehran at the age of 82.
