navideshahed- Iranian director Seyyed Reza Mirkarimi is to make a biopic of Mohammad Ebrahim Hemmat, one of the martyred commanders of the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war.

Production manager Mohammad Reza Mansouri said the Hemmatˈs family has consented to the screenplay, and the pre-production stage will begin in late July, according to Iran Dailyˈs Sunday edition.

ˈThe family provided some notes which were taken into consideration. Afterward they gave their assent to the project,ˈ Mansouri said.

Titled ˈEbrahim in Fireˈ, it was written by Mohammad Reza Gohari under Mirkarimiˈs supervision.

The Iranian Association of Sacred Defense Cinema is sponsoring the project in a joint effort with Iranˈs Cinema Organization and Arts Bureau (Hozeh Honari).

The film highlights Hemmat among the influential figures in Beit ul-Moqaddas Operation, conducted during the war, which resulted in the liberation of the port city Khorramshahr in southwestern Khuzestan provinc
