Sacred Defense achievements to be introduced to foreign attachés

Commander Bahman Kargar has announced that new titles addressing foreign attachés in Iran and other countries will be unveiled during the Sacred Defense week.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, Kargar, head of the committee to celebrate the Sacred Defense week in Iran, said the motto of this year’s week is ‘Lessons from the Imposed War’, and added that all the programs are aimed at reflecting the sacrifices made by the Sacred Defense comrades during the imposed war.

Furthermore, the week’s programs focus upon the Leader’s guidelines about unity, public sovereignty, innovation, resistance, the role of international Zionism and world arrogance in the regional challenges and lessons from the imposed war, he added.

For the first time this year, a committee has been formed at the IRIB with the agenda of covering the week’s programs.

Kargar introduced martyr Tahere Hashemi as the martyr of the year, and added that works will be mustered to highlight the book “Nouredin; the son of Iran”? during the following year by Sepah.

The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran is also said to be responsible for 18 programs to introduce the Sacred Defense achievements to foreign attachés in the form of books, articles and other cultural stuff.

He also said that three news agencies which have covered news about the Sacred Defense will be honored during the week.

In Iran, the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war is known as the Sacred Defense, and Sacred Defense Week is held on the anniversary of the beginning of the war.

Sacred Defense Week begins on Shahrivar 31 in the Iranian calendar (September 22 this year), which is the day Iraq invaded Iran and began the imposed war on the country in 1980.
