Acquaintance with Jailed Bahraini Revolution Leaders
Navideshahed: When I was in the prison, during the nights they would awaken me several times a night and they would force me to stand up although I was not physically fine. They would insult to my religious leaders and beliefs…They would force me to kiss the photo of king and prime minister of Bahrain and the king of Saudi Arabia; if I would avoid doing this, they would beat and torture me so badly.

According to Mashregh News international Service, a few weeks ago at the beginning of September, the Bahraini court issued the verdicts of 20 persons from the senior leaders of Bahrain’s revolution. Via these verdicts 13 persons of them were sentence in life imprisonment and the rest had been condemned to some heavy punishments including 15 years and 5 years in the prison.
Maybe these 20 outstanding faces can be considered as the moving engine of Bahrain’s revolution in a way that the Al Khalifa’s regime has tolerated the domestic and international costs to issue such verdicts in order to end the huge protests of people, although today the spirit of Bahrain’s revolution has penetrated all the persons, families, mosques and Bahraini persons and the youths of February 14 have learnt the liberal and freedom lessons from these leaders so well.
Some persons such as Hassan Mashimeh, Abdol Wahab Hussein and Abdol Hadi Khajeh who spent their lifetime in order to reform their country and to fight against the dictators of Al Khalifa in order to be able to live freely in their homelands, today they stay in the climax of homesickness and innocence in the corner of the prisons of Al Khalifa.”?
In the chain of notes for introduction of Bahraini leaders in the prisons of Al Khalifa, we introduce the leaders and pioneers of these people movement and Bahraini parties that now the first section of this introduction is done bellow:
Who is Abol Wahab Hussein?
This 58-year-old revolutionary has the bachelor degree of philosophy and sociology from Kuwait university. He has been imprisoned with the charges of breaking the law, taking part in the conspiracy of changing the system and having relationship with foreign groups; in fact he had been accused to the abovementioned charges by Al Khalifa forces.
Abol Wahab Hussein who has the nickname of ‘Master’ among the Bahraini revolutionary men is the leader and founder of the revolutionary group ‘Tiyar Al-Vafa Al-Islami’. In the theoretical and practical field maybe this this group can be considered so close to the thought principles of Islamic Revolution of Iran. Before this, he was one of the members of Al-Vafaq group, but after some condescension of this group with some of the changes in 2005, he left this group and he was isolated.
The explosion of the revolution
He was the first person who came to the field of protests on the revolution of February 14; because in fact he was the main person who had encouraged the guys for the reformation. The master man among the Bahraini guys had said that we call for the reformations, but if the government to kill anyone; the only request of us will be overthrowing the regime.
The angry words of this mater created a spark on the Bahraini Revolution’s barrel of gunpowder:
Being present in the first line of all the protests was the permanent policy of this master:
Also during the next days, he was present in Lu Lu square and after expressing some extreme sermons against the regime and especially during the speech on March 12, he was arrested on March 17 during the initials days of the revolution. During the speech that he gave among the revolutionary men, he explicitly talked about the fall of the regime and against some of the words that had sufficed to the constitutional monarchy announced: “there are two levels mentioned regarding our requests: the first level is changing the regime and the second level is the constitutional monarchy. I believe the fall of the regime is absolutely possible and if we do not call for this ambition, for sure the constitutional monarchy will be impossible too and it won’t be realized; because talking with the government to create a constitutional monarchy will not be realized within a few days or a few weeks, but also it needs several months and the revolutionary council will be go away and for sure the negotiations will fail without this revolutionary agent.”?
The political mastermind and designer of parties structures:
His ideas in this regards were realized exactly. During the past two decades he has been the political mastermind of Bahrain practically and his analysis has always been so useful for the revolutionary agents. Designing the initial structure of many of the groups and parities has also taken place by him.
The disclosing defenses of master in the regime’s court, he proved the violation of human rights:
During the opportunity that was given to him in the court to defend himself, he expressed the details of his own arrest which a section of that is as follows: “It was a midnight of March 17 that they broke the gate of my yard and they entered my personal house. So I opened the internal door before they break it…they beat me so violently and since they hit my head into the wall, my forehead was injured and it was bleeding. After that they tied and closed my hands and eyes…after beating me, they took me to a room and they told me if we had not been ordered, we would not let you to get out from this room alive…after a few times I noticed that after arresting me, they attacked to my family as well. They did not only investigated my house in a simple mode, but also they had struggled to take some properties including my camera, watch, rings, cell phones, lap top, the speakers of the meeting as well. When I was in the prison, during the nights they would awaken me several times a night and they would force me to stand up although I was not physically fine. They would insult to my religious leaders and beliefs…They would force me to kiss the photo of king and prime minister of Bahrain and the king of Saudi Arabia; if I would avoid doing this, they would beat and torture me so badly.”?
The experience of imprisonment and the regime’s breach of promise:
But it was not the first time that Master Abol Wahab had been arrested. He had been previously arrested once in 1995 for six months. Once again he was arrested and imprisoned from 1996 to 2001. He stayed in the solitary confinement. While in 2000, the appeals court announced his verdict something against the law of Bahrain, but he was not freed. Eventually this Bahraini leader was freed in 2001 while the new king of Bahrain had entered the field by the promise of political reformation; so not only him, but also many other political prisoners were freed and he gave positive vote to the ‘National Action Covenant’. This covenant had some paragraphs in which based on law, the right of enacting rules was given to the elected parliament, the freedom of the rest prisoners, the return of the displaced persons and the stop of the emergency security law.
Master Abdol Wahab Hussein after freedom from prison:
But after a while the regime implemented the third and fifth cases, but the second request faced with a breach of promise by the regime and it was not realized and it was one of the reasons that the revolution of February 14 in Bahrain was flamed in 2011. Also at the current time due to some seductive promises of the King and his crown prince for negotiation, the revolutionary groups of Bahrain agree with nothing except the fall of the regime. The groups that one of the most effective one of them is ‘Coalition for the Republic’ which comprises the combination of three revolutionary groups including ‘Bahrain Ahrar Movement’ under the leadership of Saeed Al-Shahabi and the ‘Al-Vafa Al-Islami’ under the leadership of master Abdol Wahab Hussein and ‘Right Movement’ under the leadership of Hassan Mashimeh. Also although two of the leaders had been imprisoned in London, but still they are considered as the ardent opponents of Al Khalifa and the popular movements in the field of Bahrain’s revolution.”?
Recording the confessions in front of the cameras:
In this regards about Abdol Wahab Hussein has been mentioned that one of the governmental authorities met with him in the prison and he was asked to apologize from the king and prime minister that they record his confession the same as Al-Ghermezi verses by taking films and releasing them, but he in response to this demand outlined: “…but the issue of apology is impossible, in fact the person who has done the oppression must apologize.”?
